About

David Wisener is an over-thinker and analyzer who ponders issues more often than he should.  He lives in Alachua, Florida with his beautiful daughter.  He has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Florida and is pursuing an M.A. in Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary.

He is a former award-winning reporter and managing editor for a small, local newspaper.  His first book, Lost the Plot: Finding Our Story in a Confusing World, won the Florida Writers Association Royal Palm Literary Award in 2024 for Memoir / Autobiography.  He currently works as part of the Executive Department for the City of Alachua as Economic Development Manager.

    1. Hi Diane – I am not, but my daughter is. Julia’s brother Howell Wiley is my daughter Naomi’s great-great grandfather. Naomi’s mom is Amie Buehler, who would be Howell’s great-granddaughter.

  1. As I’m unable to access a death certificate in regards to your uncle’s portion of the lots at 600 Deeda St Florahome, I find it convenient to donate my interest in the lots to your church should that be to your convenience.
